Fast Forward
Offering a broad range of electronics such as cycle computers, heart rate monitors, navigation devices and video recording eyewear, since 1980 CicloSport products have all shared the common theme of providing information of the users sporting activites. From their design facility in Germany CicloSport continues to research and develop the latest advances in signal sending and data recording technology. Today even the possibility to download personal exercise data to ones own PC is an affordable reality with CicloSport.
For a bike rider to achieve their sporting goals the elements of time efficiency and training specificity are two of the most important factors. The greatest performance benefits are realised when cardiovascular intensity (heart rate) and muscle resistance (pedal speed or refered to as cadence) are targeted at zones relative to the strengths of the rider. The CicloSport range of computers available in New Zealand is based on 3 levels, all with the same 10 base functions but each featuring an increasing amount of information.
The 2. Series comprises of an entry level model available with a cadence upgrade. The CicloSport 4. Series have wireless speed sensors with a wired cadence option as extra. The 4. models are all upgradable to or come with a heart rate function. Select versions with an Altimeter allow tracking of current altitude and total altitude for a given ride. The 8. Series operates on a 2.4GHz frequency which means there is no interference with surrounding devices or other transmitting equipment. The cadence is wireless for these models and a computer download accessory is available. The PC Software kit is a brilliant tool that allows ride information to be downloaded onto the home computer. Being able to diary and monitor this data is a huge leap forward in tracking fitness progress and setting upcoming goals.
