Precision Mechanics

The extensive product line of Cyclus tools has been developed and constructed to be used in professional bicycle workshops. Launched in 1991 by a former East German national track cycling coach; Wolfgang Schreck understood the importance of a correctly tuned bike and how this could benefit a riders performance. Manufactured in Europe, Cyclus tools are used by team mechanics, bike shops, and frame builders worldwide. Cyclus tools cover every aspect of bicycle maintenance and repair from simple Allen keys to an advanced spoke threading machine.

All of the tools are made from high grade materials and are subject to rigorous quality control measures, ensuring consistent precise tolerances. The result are tools that fit accurately with their intended parts, improving efficiency for the user and minimising the chance of component damage when under high tightening loads. Certain tools give the "Professional" designation and are intended for frequent repetitive use by shop or bicycle team mechanics. Enthusiasts are easily able to build up an organised home workshop with the Cyclus purpose made wall mounted tool board and fittings. Beginning with a few regularly needed tools such as Allen keys, chain tool, screwdrivers, cleaning brushes and lubricants and gradually adding other high quality tools from the Cyclus range as the need arises. One extremely important tool for working on modern bicycles is a torque-wrench which measures bolt tightness. Especially with carbon fibre frames and parts, a torque-wrench should always be used to avoid over tightening bolts. Cracked carbon is not always visible and can fail without warning.

Cyclus have partnered with Beta from Italy to produce two models of torque-wrench with fittings available for every bike component necessary. An absolute must for anyone serious about their safety at high speed on the road or trails. Cyclus also manufacture a complete line of frame tools comprising of cutting, threading and facing devices for ensuring the interfaces between the bike frame and the components are aligned for smooth operation. To maintain and maximise the performance of your bike insist on German engineered Cyclus precision tools.
